What is COPD?

COPD is a chronic lung condition that can make breathing more difficult, such as emphysema, chronic bronchitis, or asthma.

If symptoms worsen (also known as a COPD exacerbation), you may experience frequent pneumonias, respiratory inflammation, and/or permanent damage to the lungs and airways.
