SmartVest Update, COVID-19

Electromed is committed to providing uninterrupted support and product supply during the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation. Our entire team is available  to help patients and clinics with their SmartVest needs.

We’re also increasing capacity at our Minnesota manufacturing facility to meet the need for pulmonary hygiene in the treatment and recovery of patients with acute respiratory issues in the hospital, and from hospital to home.

Above all, our organization is taking prudent steps to protect the health and safety of our team and everybody we serve.

SmartVest Patients

Our patient support network remains robust and uninterrupted. We want to ensure that newly prescribed SmartVest users can successfully begin using their therapy so they can quickly realize maximum benefit:

  • New SmartVest patients now have the option to request remote training from our respiratory therapists instead of our usual in-home visit.
  • Patients who need help setting up or operating SmartVest can call our respiratory therapists from 7am–10pm CST daily at (888)  966-2525.
  • Our lifetime warranty remains in effect and we have ample supply of garments and generators available at our Minnesota facility.

Clinicians and Prescribers

Our customer support liaison team is fully staffed to coordinate and facilitate forms and documentation required by your patient’s health plan, as well as for any SmartVest support needs for your team:

  • Contact our CSLs from 8am to 5pm CST Monday through Friday at (800) 462-1045.
  • We will rapidly respond to all messages.

Hospitals

We have increased capacity at our Minnesota manufacturing facility to meet the need for pulmonary hygiene in the treatment and recovery of patients with acute respiratory issues:

  • High Frequency Chest Wall Oscillation (HFCWO) devices and disposable garments ready for rapid delivery.
  • Deferred and flexible payment options for HFCWO devices during this abnormally high patient influx.
  • Flexible training for hospital healthcare professionals that includes in-person, webinars, and DVDs so staff can train as time and vendor contact guidelines allow
